Pantry Maid was established in December 2004, but the concept of canned food rotation was on the mind of inventor Kelvin E. Bailey since 1993.  In that year, and upon the request of his wife to come up with a way to improve her ability to rotate and organize her canned goods, he came up with the original Can Organizer and its name.  However, this original unit was built as a cabinet unit made of metal shelves, wood framing, and had casters on the bottom of it for mobility purposes. 

This functioned very well for years and for the family needs, but the idea of making something more functional for the average homemaker did not develop until the early hours of the morning in October 2004.  At that point the design and materials needed to develop what you see today was done over the next couple of months until the finished product was made and introduced into the market place in late December 2004.  It met with immediate success with many looking for a better way to manage their canned foods in the home.

The Can Organizer unit was designed to meet the needs of any homemaker, young or old, in an apartment, a small home or a large home.  They are made to use in a pantry, on a kitchen counter, and/or in a kitchen cabinet.

Kelvin continues to find better ways to design, manufacturer, and market Can Organizer units to make them more affordable and functional for every homeowner.
